Below are some pictures of a stooge I am using to launch my combat models when I am alone at the field.
It works fine but there are some improvements which could be done:
- It could be higher. Sometimes the grass is to high so it would be more secure to have the model above it
- The launching string should be more backward - to be sure the control lines didn't tangle
with it when the plane is released. I am using a hook which forces the string to lay on the ground. It is
important to have the hook near the stooge - the end of the string with wire tends to jump high to the
air. If there is no hook the string will tangle with control lines. And it is good to use string which isn't
elastic (elastic ones jump over the lines)
